    Legal Billing Specialist

    • Job Type: Full-Time
    • Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 annually
    • Location: Dallas, TX

    Job Description

     

    The Legal Billing Specialist is responsible for providing accounting support to the Director of People Operations. This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is hybrid after 90 days of employment

    • Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive financial/operating matters
    • Create bills; drafts and finals efficiently and accurately per client/attorney guidelines and expectations
    • Prepare, review, and distribute monthly prebills to appropriate billing attorneys
    • Edit prebills to make time and disbursement transfers, time splits, on account transfers and time and disbursement write downs and write offs
    • Opening & Updating of New Client/Matters
    • Maintain client billing addresses and contact information.
    • Weekly tracking and reporting on client A/R balances
    • Generating weekly and monthly reports including: ad-hoc, cash receipts, cash report, WIP, etc.
    • Reconciling AMEX credit card and bank accounts
    • Research and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues and problems
    • Analyze, participate, and recommend improvements to existing processes and internal controls
    • Build, maintain, and deliver professional customer service and maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts. This position requires routine communication with firm attorneys, client contacts, Practice Assistants, Client Services team, and others, both inside and outside the firm.
    • Provide backup to Office Coordinator

    Requirements:

    • Ideal candidates will have a 2 year college degree in accounting or related field and/or 2+ years’ of accounting experience.
    • Knowledge and understanding of a broad range of accounting policies and procedures and use of accounting software systems. (Tabs3preferred).
    • Accounting background (Law firm billing experience is preferred).
    • Strong Computer skills
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
    • Microsoft Excel- at least Intermediate level (Pivot Tables and Macros preferred).
    • High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency.
    • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable.

    Utilization Review Specialist

    • Job Type: Full-Time
    • Compensation: $24 - $28 per hour
    • Location: Dana Point, CA

    Job Description

     

    The Utilization Review specialist is responsible for managing an active caseload of clients for the following levels of care: Detox, Residential, Intensive Outpatient, and Behavioral Health. The review specialist acts as a liaison between the Billing Manager, the client, and the Clinical Team. Candidate with 2+ years of clinical experience with addiction treatment of adults experiencing substance use problems and disorders. The review specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring that every client at our treatment centers has the appropriate precertification and concurrent reviews completed in a timely manner.

    • Assessing medical necessity for admission, reviewing appropriate levels of care.
    • Perform initial evaluations of client needs and develop customized treatment plans.
    • Complete precertification documentation upon client admission and retrospective reviews in a timely manner to ensure continuous coverage.
    • Collaborate with clinicians in order to obtain necessary clinical documentation for reviews.
    • Collaborate with admissions and management to determine appropriate length of stay and discharge dates.
    • Reviewing all medical records before they are submitted.
    • Updating spreadsheets for reporting and documentation purposes.
    • ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) charting standards

    Requirements:

    • Undergrad in Psychology (or related field)
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in a related clinical setting.
    • Managed Care and Utilization Management experience required.
    • Behavioral Health Management experience with a concentration in substance abuse counseling required.
